Oracle Linux administration, versions 5 and 7. HP-UX administration, including MC/ServiceGuard on 10.20, 11.0, and 11i. Installation included SAN storage allocation on DEC/Compaq/HP StorageWorks. Lead Oracle database administrator for Siebel and Oracle Applications ERP installations running on most database versions from 7.3 to 12.2. Installed PHP development tools and developed the communications protocol for the rollout of Best Transport, which saved Alcoa over $100k in shipping costs in a single quarter. Work Experience

DBA
Lead database administrator for Oracle, Sybase, Postgres, and Sqlite. Developed and maintained code in PL/SQL and Transact SQL. Installed FreeTDS and configured it for Oracle dg4odbc, sqsh, and php-sybase. Developed and implemented disaster recovery using Oracle Data Guard and rsync. Implemented a web front end for dbms_sqltune to allow developers access to query performance reports. Wrote many data verification and cleansing scripts that manipulated hundreds of thousands of files and introduced the department to Oracle external tables for transparent SQL manipulation of flat file data. Implemented stunnel encryption for a variety of mission-critical applications, including the Oracle TNS listener.

Developed and maintained init, systemd, and HP ServiceGuard application controls for high availability. Experience with shell script programming under sh, csh, ksh, and bash. Wrote a workflow system in PHP supporting hundreds of users which dramatically simplified SOX reporting.
